Issues with Debian on install

I am trying to get a fotobilder install going. I started with Debian stable. Couldn't install one of the perl modules. I forgot which one, it has been a few days. So, I dist-uped to testing.... Now, I can't apt-get perlmagick. I tried using MCPAN to install Image::Magick without configuring and get a bunch of errors including:

Magick.xs:8078: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
Magick.xs:8081: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
Magick.xs: In function `boot_Image__Magick':
Magick.xs:2101: error: `my_cxtp' undeclared (first use in this function)
Magick.xs:2101: error: parse error before ')' token
make: *** [Magick.o] Error 1
/usr/bin/make -- NOT OK
Running make test
Can't test without successful make
Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible

Before I further try to investigate, does anyone have any quick info to get me going in the right direction?
